Here at Lucas Graphics Cardworks we have a wide range of facilities which allow us to offer you a huge range of printed or plain products at highly competitive prices. This part of the site will show you how we use these facilities to make your product. Lucas Graphics has been trading since 1972 and we have a wide client base including Design and marketing Agencies, Printers and Print sourcing agencies, and direct with companies Types of job can range from just supplying a design and sample for a printer or agency to handling a complete promotion including packing advertising material or product and despatching to your customers or a distribution centre. We have a wide variety of equipment and services but now focus mainly on point of sale, promotional material and packaging, as our products and offer a trade service for our individual services. Trade services and capacity Our plant list is shown below some of our kit is more unusual and allows us to tackle more taxing and interesting jobs and we hope offer complementary services to those which you may offer yourselves. We don't print in house any more as we have found that the diversity we need would require us having too wide a range of equipment so we now outsource digital, litho, Flexo and screen process jobs. We like to work with printers and agencies to allow you to keep the elements of a job which you may find profitable for you and producing the parts of the job which you need, this may be just gluing or making up an item or packing, or even designing the job giving the designs back to you for print then finishing and packing CAD Design and Sample production for packaging and point of sale material plus Digital die cutting - Short runs 1 to 100 on digital plotter Sheet size up to 1000 x 1600mm. Cutting solid and display board, plywood to 3mm, Polyboard up to 5mm and Corrugated up to 9mm We use Kasemake 2000 Card design software which has libraries of packaging items and can offer fast service fro production of plain samples and using our Encad AO inkjet printer and our large form at laminator and mounter can produce quality finished samples and visuals up to the size of the plotter. Roller press size up to 1250mm wide up to 8 ft long register +/- 2mm Ideal for B Flute corrugated Diecutting solid board and corrugated the Roller press can produce large dump bin type units with a blank size up to 1.3mtrs wide Auto die cutting On paper, board and corrugated up to 5mm on Saroglia Auto Platen ideal for B2 format 520 x 720 down to A4 the machine needs very little grip so can often be used to rework items or where margins are very tight Latex stencil coating Size up to B2 material up to B flute corrugated All over or stencil Used For Fold together backing cards and POS Material which requires assembling on site. Short run gluing Semi auto glue line for CD and No-Capacity wallets.Hand gluing using wet and hot melt. Hot melt spray head for more complex POS material and wide glue areas Showcard Mounting up to B2 size, on prints supplied on 200gm paper mounted up to 5mm corrugated or solid board Large format Inkjet Prints upto 1000mm wide on Encad Novajet 8 colour printer Wide format Lamination and Encapsulation. 38 micron to 250 Micron Gloss or Matt film or Micronix film, which is 8 micron thick and looks like UV Varnish this is best for diecut samples as it doesn't look too thick and cumbersome on the item and creases niceley. We can also cover board up to 9mm thick with Coloured Vinyl self adhesive to add a solid vibrant colour for dummies, display bases etc. All of theses services are primarily for short run display and sample items. Mounting of prints onto Polyboard and corrugated for short runs up to 1000mm wide on material up to 12mm thick We can then diecut using the CAD system for short run display items.

Local deliveries if required We offer our services to clients who use us for the supply of their packaging materials as well as to other printers and organisations who just require packaging only. Complete service If you are new to production and packaging and don't have space to do any of it yourself we do offer a complete service from concept to completion. This allows you to concentrate on selling your product as we can sort out the sourcing and packing of all the parts to pack your product. Designing the package organising or working with your graphics team to get the right look at the right price, we then produce the packaging, outer boxes etc, and pack the product in Cartons, blisters trays or bags, palletised ready for shipping to your wholesaler or retailers
