The blisters are made to fit the shape of your product with a special lip which folds over to the side of the card, the backing card slides onto the blister without needing special tooling.

• Good for products which you want the public to be able to look at and handle
• More expensive to manufacture than heat seal blisters
• Not secure as the product is easy to access
• Blister backing cards need to be stiff/thicker as the blister isn’t sealed to card

Clamshell Blisters are moulded as one flat sheet with a hinge which folds in half and pops together to sandwich the product in between. A paper printed insert is needed to supply your sales message which we can supply.

• Can allow access to product at point of sale
• OR can be made to seal with heat gun or RF welder to STOP tampering and theft at point of sale.

This pack was designed to show how the muzzle fits onto a dog. The flat sheet is die-cut to shape with a hole in the middle for the muzzle to be attached to, a separate mouth piece is printed and die cut which fits into the muzzle. It has a euroslot to enable it be hang on a rack. The objective with this pack was to show the product in use and allow the customer to access and handle the muzzle.

Here we use card engineering to try to secure the item in a space or fold-over section of the card.

• Not recommended for short runs as set up costs incurred

• As card is usually double thickness can be printed on reverse at same time as front

With these blisters the card is coated with a special heat seal coating which seals the blisters to the card under heat and pressure, the coating can be water based which is the most common or spirit based for longer life where products may be expected to stay around for some time.

These Backing cards are made by coating the back of the card with a special dry adhesive which only sticks to itself when it is pressed together. The cards are also good for heavy items as they can be from 1mm up to 1.5mm thick.
